Geranium, roses, zinnias, cosmos, verbena, sunflowers, snapdragons, balsam camellia, gaura, lantana, celosia, lots of basil and dill…and more! But it will soon be zapped by heat…I’m in SW Louisiana/Zone 9a.
That's an impressive rose line-up, Julie, but then your entire garden looks beautifully spring-like to me. Our gardens operate on an entirely different schedule - for example, my Phlomis finished up about a month ago.
Yes, it is still very green here, but the hot 90 degree weather is coming this week so it will cook out that light green soon. Your place is so different in climate, but oh so beautiful! Looking forward to seeing your blooms. :)
Everything in your gardens look perfect! Love the penstemon blooms, the roses, and your woodland gardens. Wow, you certainly have a lot to garden, I'm sure your days are filled with working in your gardens.
Thanks Judy! I wish I had more time to be out there, but it is pretty scarce these days. Just about to graduate our oldest so the next few years will probably find me out there more and more. Thankfully these plants are pretty good at looking after each other for now. Thanks for stopping by! :)
Oh, you had me with that first photo - a geranium. Be still my beating heart. It truly is a delightful colour and a true geranium, and when I see photos like yours, of a single flower and then en masse, I see the differences between my Aussie pelargoniums and these plants. No wonder the bees love them. The rose that is unknown looks a lot like my "Just Joey" in colour and petals. Do you have any coloured roses? I have only seen one in the flesh and it was stunning. I like the look of your hydrangea as well, and its florets. The magnolias are flowering or on the cusp of it here in Shell Cove. They are all very healthy trees. Thank you for sharing your summer garden.

Sounds like summer! And yes, we are in full on 95 degrees here this week, which is pretty hot for us. Pools days are here!
Definitely!

Thanks Catherine! I am not sure what "coloured roses" means... can you explain? How exciting to have Magnolias coming! A great time of the year.
I missed a word. Lavender-coloured roses is what I meant to say. Sorry.
Ah! Got it. No lavender ones here - yet ;)
Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you!
Thanks for stopping by, Dana 🌿🙏💚
