Gardens as Sacred Spaces: Part 3
A video class about where people and plants meet by Julie Witmer
Welcome to my class, Gardens as Sacred Spaces!
I created this popular class last year to share with the gardeners at a local church, and it was such a hit that I have had many people asking for a way to access it.
What is included
In part one, we looked at the connection that can happen inside of a garden between people and plants, and I shared a few inspirational women gardeners who have encouraged others to live closely to plants:
In part two, we talked about a dozen design ideas for small and large gardens, as well as a few for houseplants indoors. These design ideas help you to create a more immersive garden experience in any garden, old or new. We also talked about paths, lawns, hedges and patios, as well as a host of criteria for planning and siting your garden features:
In part three, we will talk about many important tips for getting started with implementing the design ideas from part two into your garden in the coming year. I will give you some advice about: what to pay attention to in the beginning, what to plant first, how to make your garden sustainable, and many other details.
Thanks for joining me for the last three months to talk about connecting with plants in the spaces that you already have!
