A daffodil garden with four-season interest
April is the perfect month to tell you about the Daffodil Dell—a sunken garden area here at Havenwood. April is its peak, for daffodils, that is. But there is much more here than just daffodils in May, and I am working on adding quite a bit more for July. So come take a look at where we started, and where we are now with our building of this edge of woodland space.
Where is it?
The Daffodil Dell is the garden closest to the entrance of our driveway, and was planned as a part of the garden since our very first winter a decade ago. It was slowly created over the past ten years as we smothered the grass, added more varieties of Narcissus, then shrubs and trees around the perimeter, as well as a garden gate.
