Welcome to part one of my class: Botanical Opportunities in Unexpected Places
This is a topic that is near to my heart, so I am excited to begin to share it with you this month! I will post part two at the end of December and part three at the end of January, so that by spring you will be full of new ideas for how to handle your own tough garden spots.
In this section of the class, we will have an introduction to the idea of recognizing and accepting the conditions you have in your garden. We will also see what professional gardeners and designers are saying about diverse conditions and plant biodiversity. How does this all apply to our gardens? I also give a bit of background to my own gardening experience and we look at some spaces that I have created for clients across the continental US. Hint: There is one constant - diversity.
